Girls on the Run 5K Details- Denver

END OF SEASON 5K DETAILS

Get ready, our end of season 5K is less than a week away!! Here’s a quick reminder of everything you will need to know to ensure you are ready for the big day:

Girls on the Run 5K @ Colfax

When: Saturday, May 18th, 2024

Where: City Park, Denver (between Ferril Lake and the Museum of Nature and Science)

Arrival time: 9:45 AM

Race start time: 10:30 AM

Race Details: Girls, coaches, and families will need to find their team sign at the Meet & Greet Area. The Meet & Greet is organized by school name and broken out into corrals. Find which corral your school is in here. You can find a map of the general race area here

Your girl is ALREADY registered for the race. Parents/guardians MUST register to run the 5K alongside their GOTR participant. Online registration is open until 11:59 PM on Wednesday, May 15th. Registration is $29 online and $34 on race day. Register here to run: https://raceroster.com/events/2024/83248/girls-on-the-run-colfax-5k 

Parking: Parking is available near City Park and the neighborhoods streets surrounding City Park but is very limited. Parking may take longer than anticipated to find. Please plan ahead and arrive early. Once you arrive, you will head to the race start area which is located between Ferril Lake and the Museum of Nature and Science.

Girl Bib Pick Up

Coaches will have your GOTR girl’s race bib on race day. Girls will meet coaches at the Girls on the Run Meet & Greet area located southeast of the start line (north of Ferril Lake). This is also where you should plan to reconnect with your runners after the race!

Registered Parent Bib Pick Up

  • Beat the Rush: Parents and friends can beat the rush and pick up their own bibs on Friday, May 17th from 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Colfax Expo, Empower Field @ Mile High. You can park for free in Lot B. You cannot pick up girls’ bibs early.

  • Race Day Pick Up: Bib pick up will also be available on race day starting at 9:00 AM. Bibs are organized alphabetically by last name. Find the line that corresponds with your last name.

 Girls’ bibs are distributed by the coaches on race day!

This is a rain, shine, or snow event! Please dress accordingly. Water will be provided on-course for all runners. The weather is predicted to be warm on Saturday, please bring your own water and wear sunscreen.

There is not a bag/gear check and items cannot be left at your team sign. Please have a plan for carrying your gear, having someone to hold it for you or leaving it in your car.
