Dear Girls on the Run caregivers,
We're excited to share what your GOTR participant will learn in Lessons 9-12 as they continue to build relationships and confidence.
YOUR GOTR GIRL’S LEARNING JOURNEY: AT HOME AND BEYOND
In Lessons 9-12 of Hello, Superstar! your child will learn to grow and share their Star Power in ways that help themselves and others shine. They’ll discover what it means to be a Star Sparkler, seeing the unique stars in others and encouraging them to shine bright.
They will also practice the “Stop and Take a Breather” technique, using it to pause, reflect, and make choices that feel right to them, even when they face peer pressure or when others might think differently. Your child will explore the meaning of true friendship by learning how to choose friends who help their Star Power shine, while also being a friend who lifts others up.
Finally, they will bring everything together in their “Shining Together” lesson, preparing for their practice 5K. This celebration will give them the chance to put their tools into action, shine alongside their teammates, and experience the joy of moving forward together.
PRACTICE 5K
The teams are hopping, skipping, jumping, and running their way to the end-of-season 5K. Most teams will be hosting their practice 5K very soon. During the practice 5K, teams will put everything they've learned into action, activating their Star Power to achieve one of many goals they've been working on all season. This is a great opportunity to join in the fun - be it running, passing out water, or simply being at the finish line to cheer all the girls on. Check in with your coaches to see when the practice 5K will be and how they can use your help!
