Colfax 5K FAQs

Bibs:

  • Participant bibs are with their coaches, participants DO NOT need to go to bib pick-up

  • Registered Runners need to pick up their bib at bib pick-up.

  • Runners must have a bib to be on the course

  • If you would like to run, please go register at the registration tents! Price is $34

  • A child in a stroller does not need their own bib, but if they are on their own two feet, they need to be registered.

Participant Materials:

  • T-shirts should have been handed out to all participants at a Girls on the Run practice, if a participant does not have one, please go to team bib pick-up

  • Medals will be distributed to girls at their team’s end of season celebration. There are no medals being distributed today!

  • Participant bibs are with their coaches at their team sign!

Where do I meet my participant after the race?

  • Plan to meet your runner(s) back at their team sign and then visit the post-race expo together. DO NOT cross into or through the finish line chute.

Where is my participant’s team?

  • All teams have a team sign in the start chute, from A to Z.

  • We have one team that is starting 5 minutes early. Sabin World is at the front of the start chute.

  • If you cannot find their team, please go to team bib pick-up.

I’m here really early. What can I do?

  • We have Happy Hair and Cheer Cards available for participants that would like to add some more color to their outfit and for families that would like to make signs to encourage their participant! See map below for the location of Happy Hair and Cheer Cards

I’m here really late and don’t think I’ll be able to find my team!

  • Your participants bib will be at their team sign. Please pin it to their belly before beginning the race (you can start with any wave).

  • If an adult has not registered and there is no one running the race with the participant, please stop by the Running Buddies tent to get a buddy.

What can I do at the expo?

  • There are a ton of cool vendors and Girls on the Run has an activity and 2 photobooths! Be sure to check it out after the race!

Misc.

    • Port-a-Potties are located at the northern end of the meadow between bib pick-up and the start chute.

    • First Aid is located near the finish line (If serious, please radio staff).

    • Lost and Found is located at the southern end of the meadow near the finish line.

    • This 5K is a large event and is managed like many large events with security in place. Participants CANNOT leave anything unattended at their team sign during the race.

    • Parking is a huge challenge at this race, and we are not able to provide reliable information on where parking is available. We suggest trying neighborhoods to the east of Colorado Blvd. or at East High School.
