Lisa Johnson, Founder and Executive Director, 2005 – present

 Lisa Johnson founded the Girls on the Run of the Rockies council in 2005. Under her tenure, the organization has served more than 30,000 girls along the Front Range. Prior to Girls on the Run, Johnson worked for more than 12 years in public relations and marketing. Her nonprofit experience includes working with numerous organizations including, Second Harvest, Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities, and Colorado League of Charter Schools. She has volunteered for various organizations such as Chicago Cares, as a serve-a-thon site coordinator, and Children’s Memorial Hospital, as fundraising committee board member. Lisa enjoys running with her husband and two children in Denver.

Katy Deditz, Program & Event Manager, 2019 – present

 Katy Deditz started volunteering for Girls on the Run as a Program Ambassador in January of 2017, and after two years, she was thrilled to be hired on in January of 2019. While she has degrees in Music Composition, she found an additional passion in running, and loves being able to share it through the GOTR program. Her two nieces inspire her every day to work on making a world where girls can be wholly themselves. Katy spends her free time reading, writing music, and working toward her goal of running a half marathon in every state.

Amy Grimm, Community Outreach and Events Manager, 2022 – present

 Amy Grimm joined the Girls on the Run team as a Community Outreach & Events Manager in May of 2022 after serving as a Program Ambassador and on the Associate Board since 2019. She brings over nine years of experience working in education and nonprofit programming. Amy has a passion for youth running and has volunteered with various organizations such as Students Run LA as a marathon leader and Chicago Area Runners Association as a ‘Go Run Site Coordinator. She is an RRCA Certified Coach and Race Director. Amy enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and rescue dog and volunteering through the Junior League.

Genesis Orozco-Najarro, Bilingual Program Coorinator, November 2023 - present

Genesis joined the team in October of 2023. She has a BS in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in health promotion that was driven by her passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle. Genesis is deeply committed to working with underserved communities, striving to make a positive impact especially with her bilingual background. She is extremely excited to be a part of the GOTR team and eager to inspire young girls to lead active, confident lives. In her free time, you can catch Genesis in a pilates class, attending concerts, or exploring new destinations through travel.

Lauren Pietrek, Development and Marketing Director, 2017 – present

Lauren Pietrek joined the Girls on the Run team in April of 2017 as the Event & Marketing Manager by way of working in collegiate athletics and has been the Development & Marketing Director since December 2018 – save for 10 months working for a community foundation in Ohio in 2021-2022. Her passion for Girls on the Run stems from her experience as a volunteer with Gamma Phi Beta since 2011 and seeing the challenges that face women student-athletes within NCAA Division I athletics. Lauren graduated with a BA in Sociology of Law and Global Studies from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Professional Leadership from North Central College. Working for Girls on the Run of the Rockies brings Lauren back home to the south suburbs of Denver where she enjoys soaking up the Colorado sunshine, spoiling her beloved pup named Buster, and the challenge of finding the flattest paths to run on.

Katie Redfield, Program Director, 2017 – present

 Katie Redfield began her journey with Girls on the Run as a volunteer coach and program ambassador in 2012.  Katie has spent over 15 years in operations management and technology and holds a degree in Community Health and Physical Education.  She was excited to join the Girls on the Run staff in March of 2017.  Katie is passionate about supporting girls on their journey to physical, emotional, and spiritual health.  She spends her spare time exploring the outdoors, taking photographs and enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Natasha Sherrod, Program Coordinator, 2022 – present

 Natasha joined the team in March of 2022 after earning her MPA at CU Denver. She was a competitive athlete through college, which jump started her passion for supporting the development of young girls. Natasha is excited to be a part of the GOTR team and continue to learn how to best serve our participants. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants in the Denver area, listening to live music, and petting all the dogs in sight!
